Shadow Gods

Today was the final seminar presentation. I have officially fulfilled all the requisites and jumped all the hoops to graduate from computer science in June 8. It was a short and nice ride, these past two and a half years - I don't feel that this degree was more difficult than my liberal arts one. Been a thirty something undergraduate student felt strange most of the time, but my adult confidence, my concentration and the general world experience I have had in the past eleven years were pivotal in helping me go through all this with such ease. I am not saying that I am better than anyone, just a lot better than my giddy, innocent, peer-pressured twenty something self. I see a lot of that in my school mates and my heart tugs a little because I know they are living the last remnants of a mostly careless, happy go lucky existence before they start work in the real world. I wish them all the best of success. Fly away, kids, maybe we'll meet again, or maybe in two weeks we'll forget us forever.

  • You've made it girl! Anything with Computer and Sciences achieved at a College Level has my undivided praise!!! It's funny what you say about being thirty something... since according to I believe Sarah Jessica Parker 40 is the new 20, then you are actually a teen with lots of experience...OK, I haven't had my coffee yet, which is an excuse because I don't drink coffee at all.The point is... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
